This course is suitable for those aged 16+ who have identified as requiring First Aid at Work under HSE requirements. All of our course options are available for both individual and group bookings and cater up to a maximum of 12 attendees.


18 contact hours ordinarily split over 3 consecutive days. We are happy to offer flexibility outside of these times to accommodate to your needs.


The comprehensive course syllabus gives participants the confidence to deal with a wide range of first aid emergencies in a prompt, safe and effective way.

Practical and theoretical activities include:

  • Legalities, responsibilities and reporting
  • Heart attacks
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Eye injuries
  • Fractures and spinal injuries
  • Choking
  • Control of bleeding
  • Chest injuries
  • Assessment of the situation
  • Diabetes
  • Shock (including Anaphylaxis)
  • Asthma
  • Head injuries
  • Poisoning
  • Sprains and strains
  • Stroke
  • Burns
  • Epilepsy
  • Resuscitation
  • Bandaging



FAA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work

Qualification lasts for 3 years with renewal through the First Aid at Work Requalification required after that period. Annual refresher courses are recommended during the 3 year window.

Summative practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor each day, along with a written assessment on each day. A three year Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment.
