This course is suitable for those aged 16+ who have identified as requiring Emergency First Aid at Work under the HSE requirements.

All of our course options are available for both individual and group bookings and cater up to a maximum of 12 attendees.


6 contact hours ordinarily over 1 full day of training. We are happy to offer flexibility outside of these times to accommodate to your needs.


EFAW gives learners the skills and confidence to respond to a range of accidents and first aid emergencies they could encounter in the workplace. All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner.

Practical and theoretical activities include:

  • Responsibilities and reporting
  • Assessment of the situation
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Basic hygiene in First Aid
  • Burns
  • Epilepsy
  • Resuscitation
  • Anatomy
  • Minor injuries
  • Bleeding control
  • Choking
  • Shock


FAA Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work

Assessment is ongoing by the instructor, along with a multiple choice question paper. A three year Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment.

Qualification lasts for 3 years and the HSE recommend annual refresher courses during this timeframe.
