Itchen Valley Forest School invites you to bring your child for an exciting and fun birthday party in our woodland at Itchen Valley Country Park

Suitable for children 3+. Parties can start any time between 11am and 1.00pm (at the latest) and last for 2 hours. This means the latest finishing time is 3.00pm.

All the parties include den building and a campfire with marshmallows but you can add a theme from the following options depending on the age of the children.

Teddy Bear Picnic - bring along your teddy and make a wooden medallion for him, headdress, flag and den

Camouflage - try to disappear into the undergrowth with your headdress, face paint and capes then play hide'n' seek

Pirates - make a pirate ship and flag, hunt for treasure and walk the plank!

Bushcraft (6 - 10 year olds) - use Kelly Kettles to boil water for a hot chocolate or damper bread making

The parties are for a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 12 children.

The sessions are run by an experienced Level 3 Forest School Leader but for health and safety we require a number of adults to help supervise and take responsibility for behaviour.

3 - 6 years: one adult to every 2 children
6 - 10 years: one adult to every 3 children

With younger children we are happy if all parents want to stay and make it a family party but they will be expected to join in the fun - face paints and all!!

£12.50 per child (minimum £125.00 total cost based on 10 children).

A deposit of £30.00 is required with the balance on the day.

The cost includes all the activities, use of tools, materials, marshmallows and a drink but no other party food.

Terms & Conditions

Parties go ahead in all weathers but may be cancelled in strong winds for safety reasons. We will give 24 hours notice if this is the case. In the unlikely event that the party is cancelled you will be offered an alternative date or a refund.
