Ofsted have recently visited the Scott Centre in Andover and the outcome gives cause for celebration.

In assessing the quality of childcare at both the pre-school and schools out clubs, Ofsted rated the centre as good across the board.

The centre was particularly praised for the careful monitoring of children’s progress and also for the positive example set by staff. Ofsted reported that children “demonstrate good behaviour and an increasing awareness of the needs and feelings of others” by having good role models at the centre. Further praise was given for efforts in encouraging healthy eating and crucially the effective safeguarding processes that are in place.

Mark Dixon, Chief Executive at Youth Options, said “We are extremely pleased with the outcome. It recognises the continued hard work of the staff team and shines a positive light on what we offer at Youth Options. Most pleasingly for me, the report highlights the very effective partnership we have with parents and the fact that children leave our pre-school with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed at school.”

Our thanks go out to the all children, parents & carers and staff that have made this achievement possible. By using our childcare, they directly support the charitable work of Youth Options and help in making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people across Hampshire.
