General Data Protection Regulations, 25th May 2018

    Update your preferences here.

At Youth Options, we’re committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and we recognise our responsibility to treat your personal information with care, in line with the new GDPR legislation.

Youth Options has put into place, comprehensive but proportionate governance measures to ensure our compliancy to the regulations.

GDPR will impact every organisation which holds or processes personal data. It will introduce new responsibilities, including the need to demonstrate compliance, more stringent enforcement and substantially increased penalties than the current Data Protection Act (DPA), which it will supersede.

Organisations are categorised as Data Controllers and/or Data Processors; Youth Options will fulfil both elements.

    • “data controller” means a person who determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal data are, or are to be processed
    • “data processor”, in relation to personal data, means any person who processes the data on behalf of the data controller.
    • “processing”, in relation to information or data means obtaining, recording or holding the information or data or carrying out any operation or set of operations on the information or data.

As part of this process we would like to inform you about the collection and use of your personal information; what it is being collected for, how it will be used, how we keep it stored in a safe and secure manner, when it will be deleted, and what rights you have to your personal information.

You can access our Privacy Statement, which will explain our use of your personal information.

Also, other related Youth Options, Data Protection Policies.

We want to ensure that you continue to receive information from Youth Options about any opportunities available.

Unless we have a ‘Legitimate Interest’ to hold your data, we will need your consent to do so.
